Join us on Saturday, September 19th for our next Path Submission Grappling Series event!
Join us for our 11th submission grappling showcase. This event is tournament style, with competitors being invited to participate in 4-person brackets. Alternates will be invited to each bracket in the case of a late pullout. If all 5 competitors show up, all will compete. The winner of each bracket will receive a custom Subdued Path Submission rashguard.

Parking: There is plenty of parking available in the lot.
Time: Doors open at 4p, matches start at 5p
Food and drinks: We will have small snacks and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

Kids 11-14: $10 cash or Venmo
Kids 10 and under: No cost
Tickets
Tickets are available to spectators at the door.
Weigh-ins will be done virtually the day before the event, Friday, September 18th. Instructions will be sent to competitors via email at 11:55p the evening prior.

Scoring criteria
Positional control / dominant control: The competitor who controlled the match positionally or dictated the pace of the match will be rewarded this criteria.
Initiating action: Attempting takedowns, guard pass, sweeps, submissions, etc. Judges will give the reward to the competitor who is aggressive, the one starting the action and attacking that leads to scrambles.
Close submissions and dynamic action: Dynamic action is takedowns, sweeps, passes, etc. After initiating action, progressing through control and position to sub attempts.
We follow a modified CJI ruleset.
Rounds are 6 minutes.
Matches will be decided by submission or judges’ decision if there is no submission.

Prohibited Techniques
Blue belts: Only straight knee bar or straight ankle lock on the legs are allowed. No twisting locks of any kind. All other submissions are legal.
Purple, brown, black belts: All submissions except Z lock are legal.

No jumping guard
No scissor takedowns
